Regular readers of my blog will be aware that there are several charities that I try to support. It occurred to me this morning that I don’t have links to any of them on the home page of my blog, although I have included links in a few of my posts. So, today I have remedied that. You will now see links to both Lily – Love In The Language Of Yarn and Hand In Hand For Syria in the sidebar to the right of this post. I hope you will visit them to see the wonderful work that they do.
The third link I have added is Fort Alice which is an independent charity in the Bolton assisting women, children and young people affected by domestic violence.
Many women escaping domestic abuse leave their homes with no possessions except the clothes they are wearing – I cannot begin to imagine how they feel at that time, can you?
I am not trying to say that you should support any of these organisations, although it would be wonderful if you could – it is just a reminder that there are people who need help, whether it is money to buy specialist equipment, knitted items to keep them warm, or even a bar of soap.
